Flash 10 Goes Mobile

Coming autumn, we can expect a new Flash version to hit mobile phones. Flash 10 will no longer carry the 'Lite' name and leaps forward when you take a look at Flash Lite versioning.

Flash 10 also seems to bypass feature phones as it will be launched for Symbian, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, WebOS and Android. Several partners from Adobe have already received Flash Player 10 Mobile to experiment with it. Developers that head over to Adobe's Max conference will also get the player before it is unleashed on the market.

With Flash Player 10 Mobile, Adobe is bridging the gap between Flash and Flash Lite, making sure mobile browsers can reach 100% of the internet. This also means that it will become more easy for developers to port their online games to mobile as they only have to cope with smaller screens.

It is still unknown when and if Flash will arrive on the iPhoneOS.
