Over at BoyGeniusReport, the guys managed to get a first look at the WebOS SDK from Palm. The first looks clearly show that the OS is built mainly for XHTML, CSS and Javascript.
Palm has selected HTML 5 for it's storage abilities and Javascript Object Notation for sharing data between the developed applications and functionality like the calendar and contact list. To test your skils, Palm has made available a special server application to ease testing.
According to developers that played around with the SDK, the platform is pretty open. Developers gain access to nearly every system. Palm also prepared an app shop like sales channel. Palm isn't strict on content regulations, which might open it also to gambling and adult content.
