This week, there was a lot of fuzz about Nokia’s acquisition of Symbian
in order to form the Symbian Foundation. Today, we got hold of data
about their timeline.
It seems that the company wants to have the Symbian Foundation up and running in 2009. The first actual devices that run the new OS should be out on the market in 2010. The goal of the foundation is to make a stand toward Google’s Android platform. As it looks now, Android will have about a year until Symbian starts the real fight.
