Intel-ceo Paul Otellini announced that the first smartphone running on an Intel based SoC is ready to launch next week. The device is probably coming from India based vendor Lava.
The device is expected to be the Lava Xolo X900. With this release, the relatively unknown vendor beats Lenovo, which is also working on an Intel based smartphone. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 4.0. Both Intel and Google have been working on porting the Android platform to Intel’s chipset.
