First Games Hit Kindle

August 5th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Kindle | No Comments »

Ever since Amazon announced the first partners for Kindle game development, the company went in whispermode. Today however, Amazon released the first two games to owners of the latest Kindle models.

Owners of the Kindle DX and Kindle 2 can freely download Shuffled Row and Every Word from whispernet. Owners of the first generation of Kindle devices will be left out though. Kindle uses J2me but the SDK’s are still in Beta and it is also still unclear when the gaming service will really launch.
