Exit Powers Konami’s Multiplayer Games

ExitgamesYesterday, Exit Games announced to have closed yet another deal for their Neutron multiplayer service. This time, Konami will utilize the multiplayer functionality in it’s games.

The first game to get “Neutronized” will be dance dance revolution (DDR) mobile. Within the game, players will be able to compete head-to-head. DDR will be released by the end of 2008.

Konami“The Neutron gaming platform will enable Konami Mobile to create one of the first full-featured mobile multiplayer games,” said Jim Bradbury, Konami Mobile’s Executive Director. “Social gaming and community features are what consumers want, and with Neutron providing the back end technology, Konami Mobile will bring fans of the DDR series a version of the game that they can enjoy from almost anywhere.”

“Neutron continues to prove itself as an ideal solution for world-class developers and publishers,” said Tom Sperry, CEO of Exit Games. “The addition of DDR to the lineup of mobile games supporting multiplayer and social networking capabilities reaffirms our leadership position in a market where there is a premium on extending the consumer experience.”
