In a new report from Evans Data Corporation, developers out their dissatisfaction with the 70% rev-share they get from app stores like that of Apple and Google.
EDC collected this data from over 400 developers. 320 of those said they want more than the 70% most app stores offer today. Only 15% of the developers say they prefer an app store above classical marketing models.
EDC also gathered data specific to Apple’s App Store. 50% of the developers agree that Apple is overprotective with their authorization policy. 70% thinks Apple should not apply any rules to app pricing levels. 10% of the North-American developers are skilled in Objective-C.
