While Nintendo announced Motion Sensors for the next DS generation, Dutch developer Engine Software is taking the lead by developing their own technology for motion detection on the current DS generation.
In a demonstration video, the company shows a Nintendo DS with a game that reacts when the player tilts the devices. It is likely that Engine Software uses the onboard camera to detect this motion.
The company announced to be releasing the first motion enabled game later this year. At the same time, the company announced to be licensing out this technology to other developers.
