Elements Interactive has announced to split up their popular Edgelib
development tool into three versions to enable developers from the
smallest to the biggest to make a step into their mobile gaming world.

With the Lite version stripped from most of the fancy additional features, it provides a low priced view into Edgelib that is powerfull enough for cool 2D mobile games. The lite version goes at $ 150 a year.

The Standard version for Edgelib features already a lot more possibilities. It adds networking over Bluetooth and TCP/IP, image loaders, pixel precise collision detection and much more. E-mail support is also included. The Standard edition goes at $ 450 for the first year and $ 350 for each year after.

Edgelib Full Version brings all of the Edgelib candy to the mobile game development world. It brings all above and adds 3D and much more. Pricing goes at $ 950 for the first year and $ 650 for the years after.

"The idea is to bring even more cost-effective versions of EDGELIB to the market," says Elements Interactive CEO Danny Hoffman. "The main goal of providing three different editions and three different pricing tags is to offer feature-specific libraries to fit each developer’s need, while also bringing the library to the smallest game development studios."

Separate from the versions above, there is also a evaluation version that allows all features from the full version for non-commercial use.
