EA Values Mobile Gaming at $3.4 Billion in 2010

December 2nd, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Research & Stats | No Comments »

EA has done some calculating and estimates that the Mobile Gaming market is worth $3.4 billion in 2010. For 2013, they expect the amount to grow all the way to $ 4.5 billion.

The biggest market this year is Asia, valued at $1.7 billion ($1 billion from Smartphones). The US takes second place valued at $1 billion and Europe generates $0.7 billion. EA’s predictions are probably the most pessimistic ones we have seen over the past few weeks, but that is a good thing when it comes to predictions.
