EA Mobile seems set for expansion yet again as EA is acquiring Iron Monkey Studios. The amount has not been disclosed, but the company has been developing EA’s key franchises for some time.
Amongst the titles from the studio are Need for Speed and The Sims 3. The studio is also working on Mirror’s Edge (a game that could expect a trademark claim from Tim Langdell for the use of the word EDGE).
Last year, EA paid $300 million for the acquisition of PlayFis, is a successful developer of facebook and iPhone games.
