Yet another Tetris game is being released by EA Mobile. In this version, players get to play 17 new variations to the world-famous block stacking game.
"Since its introduction more than 20 years ago, Tetris has become one of the best loved video games of all time," comments Javier Ferreira, VP of European Publishing, EA Mobile. "Tetris POP provides an exhilarating twist to the evergreen Tetris formula and gives gamers a new way to enjoy this incredibly popular franchise on their mobile phone."
Every one of the 17 new gameplay variations poses its own intriguing and exciting challenges; players can trigger bombs in Detonator, create electrical connections in Circuit, turn up the heat in Furnace or alternatively, take it back to basics with Vanilla mode. All variations are frantic time-based challenges, so players must think fast to complete objectives and rack up the big points.
Tetris POP also features three brand new play modes. In POP mode, players encounter 22 levels of mayhem across eight unique ‘worlds’. In POP Chrono mode, players select their desired play time and let the game tailor a play session to fit around the time available. In POP Mix mode, players can customize their gameplay by selecting their favorite variations from the play list available.
