While companies like Player X chose to go for video to increase their footprint in the market, EA Mobile has chosen to create a sports portal in compliment to their range of mobile games.
On the portal, consumers will get the latest news about sports events and in the future, EA will even allow consumers to challenge each other on the portal to take up the battle in a mobile gaming session.
To increase the portal revenue, EA Mobile also sells it’s games, complimented with ringtones and wallpapers on the wap portal. News is additionally available via RSS.
Clearly for now it will only be a matter of time before other mobile gaming companies will create entertainment portals to tie their consumers to their products.
Congratulations
