DeviceAnywhere Joins Blackberry Alliance Program

October 22nd, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: BlackBerry | No Comments »

Members of the Blackberry Alliance Program will now gain extra benefits from DeviceAnywhere as the web-test center added the possibility to test 100+ devices live on 16 networks.

It’s not the first deal where DeviceAnywhere is added to a developer program. Earlier, the company closed similar deals with Nokia and Mobile Distillery.

"Over half of the US market currently owns a smartphone and RIM has been a leader in the smartphone market since its inception," said Faraz Syed, CEO and Co-founder of DeviceAnywhere. "The need to bring in smart applications to cater to high-end mass market devices is more apparent than ever. DeviceAnywhere helps solve this dilemma with unmatched solutions to ease the mobile application development lifecycle. Developers realize the immediate benefits of reducing time to market of their products and DeviceAnywhere provides them the right tools."

"We continue to see growing interest in BlackBerry smartphone applications from both business customers and consumers, and DeviceAnywhere provides a valuable service for BlackBerry application developers with real-world testing on multiple carrier networks that can help developers bring their applications to market much faster," said Jeff McDowell, Vice President, Global Alliances at Research In Motion
