According to Techcrunch, rumors say DeNa is considering the acquisition of competitor ngmoco for a sweet $400 million. If true, this move could make push DeNa into a leading position in social mobile games.
According to the rumors, Zynga itself was interested in the acquisition of ngmoco, but passed the opportunity when the company heard about the price. For powerhouse DeNa (that is acquiring companies on a monthly basis), money is less of a problem. Until recently, ngmoco only released iOS based products. After funding from Google, the company started to develop Android products as well. In total, ngmoco received $40 million in funding which would suggest a huge earnout.
