A few weeks back, we noticed an interesting story between an iPhone developer and a cracker about why and how his mobile games where hacked. Now, the tool used is international news.
The tool mentioned in the conversation is called Crackulous. It allows iPhone owners to crack their bought mobile games and make them available via “the usual” networks.
So where does this news turn for the worst? When newspapers pick up on the cracking software. All over The Netherlands, news sites and newspapers explain consumers about the existence of it and how to use it. They call it a scandal, but in reality educate consumers on how to fully utilize it.
Lucky enough, only jailbraked iPhones are able to run the software. This means that a big part of the consumers (those that don't dare to risk their hardware) will still be purchasing their games.
I hope the weight of Apple comes down on the guy who wrote it head in due course.
