Yesterday, US consumer authority Consumer Reports issued a negative buy advice for the iPhone 4 due to all the antenna problems it has. At the same time it also lists the iPhone 4 as the best smartphone on the market today. In their tests, the iPhone 4 rates 76/100 while the HTC EVO 4G and iPhone 3GS rate 74/100. The reason it scores so well has to do with the fact that the organization does measure voice quality but not the range of the antenna.
Meanwhile, a large number of consumers have started to file complaints on the Apple forum. To avoid exposure, Apple has chosen to delete the entire thread. Consumers worldwide are more and more concerned that Apple’s software fix for this issue will not be able to fix what is wrong with the hardware of the device (sounds logic).
Apple continues to advice consumers to buy the bumpercase to address the issue while analysts advice Apple to do a recall on the entire iPhone 4 line. Nokia advices consumers to just buy a Nokia if they want to make a call. Samsung adviced to buy one of theirs. We haven’t received a reaction from HTC yet.
Congratulations
