ComScore: Android Passed RIM in the US

Just like Nielsen, ComScore also calculated that Android has passed BlackBerry OS in the Unites States. According to ComScore, Android has 31.2% of the market making Google the dominant player.

RIM lost 5.4% market share while Android grew 7.7%. Competitor Apple has 24.7% of the market making the company the number three in the US. With the launch of the iPhone 4 on Verizon, more growth for Apple is to be expected.
