ComScore: Android Continues Growth in US

While all platforms lost marketshare, Android id continuing growth in the three month period ending May 2010. At that time, 49.1 million US citizens owned a smartphone.

RIM is still dominating US device sales with a 41.7% marketshare. Apple ranks second at 24.4% and Microsoft third at 13.2%. Google is likely to take over the third position from Microsoft in the next report as Android accounts for 13%. Palm is ranking fifth at 4.8%.

    1. Android Samsung handset in India cost Rs. 20000 (i.e. USD 500 approx). Why anyone should by android. In India it will be reverse, it will not grow here in India.
