When we spoke to the Cometa Games guys at the World Telemedia Congress a few weeks back, they already announced to us that some big B2B news would pop-up soon. Today, they sent us a press release about their new name and latest funding.
Kicking off with the name change, Cometa (known for their mobile gambling games) changed it from Cometa Games to Cometa Wireless Gaming Systems with the expectation to leave a clearer mark in the market.
Looking at the funding news bit, Cometa announced to have received 1 million pounds to expand their business in a funding round led by Mfusion. The total company has received 2 million pounds to date. Though Cometa expects revenues in 2007 to stick around 250,000 pound, they expect revenues to rise to 6.8 million pounds in 2011.
