Following the success of their OMA based DRM solution, Cloakware is now launching it's DRM services for the Google Android mobile game development community.
With cloakware, developers can build checks into their games that check if the phone owns the right licenses to launch the mobile game. It also allows developers to encrypt their software, though that might limit CPU resources (we haven't checked that of course).
“The release of Cloakware’s OMA DRM 1.0 Client for Android gives device manufacturers and their customers an edge in delivering secure content through an operating system that is fast becoming a new content ecosystem,” said David Canellos, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Irdeto. “By leveraging Cloakware’s extensive content and application security expertise in the development of the Android solution, we are able to meet the security requirements for carriers and content providers alike and are positioned to fully support a range of Android devices used in the broadcast, cable, gaming and motion picture industries.”
Congratulations
