Chitika Labs has launched a counter on their website that shows the number of iPads sold. Around 15:45 (GMT+1), the counter passed 500.000 units and it is at 501.000 at the time of writing.
Most of the iPads have been sold in California (19.50%). This is one iPad for every 1.581 consumers. Second is Texas at 8.23%, followed by New York at 8.21%.
