Though it will not have any major effect on the mobile games industry (yet), China has introduced several new laws that should fight the addiction against online gaming.
Gamedevelopers should introduce time limits their online games, though the law doesn’t specify how and how long those time limits would have to be. Gamers are no longer allowed to use nicknames as that makes it harder for them to identify themselves. Games should also have no negative effect on the social morale of the gamers.
The laws have been introduced by the culturel department should bring back the number of casualties under internet addicted kids. Every year a few of them manage to die behind the computer.
