Qualcomm has introduced two new CPU’s for the production of cheap smartphones. The MSM8225 and MSM8625 both run on 1Ghz processors but have an Adreno 203-GPU which is less powerfull compared to the Adreno 205-GPU that is found in smartphones like the new Nokia Lumia 800 and the HTC Desire HD.
These new CPU’s have a Krait-core that follows in the footsteps of the currently popular Scoprion-core series from Qualcomm. The first phones with these low-budget 1Ghz CPU’s should ship by the end of 2012.
