Chainfire Hacks new Windows Marketplace Security

November 16th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Windows Mobile | No Comments »

Microsoft Dutch developer Chainfire has announced that he managed to crack the new security on the Windows Marketplace. Microsoft sotres the license on the local device and with a simple exe running in the background, he is able to spoof it.

The developer/hacker announced that he will not disclose the exact method for hacking Windows Marketplace. One of the reasons is to protect the developers but at the same time, none of them have the new security applied yet (so it doesn’t make sense).
