After a 50% increase in Q1 of 2007, Cellufun shows convinced that
ad-funded mobile gaming will remain as a stable channel in a market
that is desperate for new ways of generating revenues.

In Q1, Cellufun has seen a 50% increase. With their network serving up 2 million downloads in December, Cellufun has hit the three million milestone in March as downloads increased by 250K a month. In regards of pageviews on their wapsite, Cellufun registered 15 million hits in March. Also Cellufun tells us they have seen their multiplayer functionality become more and more popular with their consumer base.

Similar to reports from Admob and Greystripe, Cellufun notes the key markets are the U.S., India and South Africa. Though the main language is still English, Cellufun has added and will continue to add new language support to the service.

“We’re seeing mobile gaming consumers participating in more dynamic, challenging games with other members of the community,” said Arthur Goikhman, Cellufun CEO. “Because we offer a variety of titles to suit varied tastes, our community attracts all ages, abilities and nationalities, creating a powerful demographic base for the advertisers that help keep the gaming experience free for consumers.”
