According to a study from GfK, 60% of iPhone owners plan to stick with their device for renewal. This makes iPhone consumers the most loyal ones. Possible reasons are app-investment as well as fanboyship.

Android will be the Primary Development Platform in 2011

According to research from Business Insider, Google’s Android platform (29%) will be the hottest platform to develop for in 2011, followed by Apple’s iPad (20%) and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 (20%).

The Dutch use Their iPad an Hour a Day

According to research from publisher Sanoma, Dutch consumers that own an iPad spend about an hour a day with the device. 25% of iPad owners also use it on the toilet.

28% of US phones is a Smartphone in Q3

According to the most recent numbers from Nielsen, 28% of US cellphones is a smartphone. Amongst those consumer that bought a new phone over the past six months, 41% chose a smartphone, up 35% compared to Q2.

ITU: 5.3 Billion Mobile Devices in Use by the End of 2010

According to the International Telecommunication Union, there will be 5.3 billion devices in use by the end of this calendar year. 940 million of them have a 3G connection or better.

IDC: iAd Takes Market Share from Google
