Microsoft Plans In-Store WM Promotions

Most of you have probably read that Microsoft plans to open it's own stores to compete with Apple (various sources reported on it). Their store concept has leaked on the internet and it seems like Windows Mobile is one of the products which will be promoted in those stores.

Weblog iStartedSomething stumbled upon a trademark application from Microsoft for the name OneApp. The filing suggests MS is working on a second App Store for mobile devices.

Windows Mobile 6.5.1 Updates

It seems Microsoft is working on a big update for Windows Mobile 6.5.1 according to rom builder l3v5y. Though consumers will mostly experience changes to the interface, there will also be new hardware support.

Windows Marketplace Opens With 600 Apps

Microsoft Releases Windows Mobile 6.5 SDK

I have to admit that since I installed Windows Mobile 6.5 on my HTC Touch Pro, I am finally satisfied with the platform (and actually feel like a happy WM user for the first time). Now, the company has released their 6.5 SDK.

Windows Marketplace Open to Developers
