Smaato: Symbian is still Dominating – UPDATED

According to research from Smaato, Symbian is still the leading platform in their advertising network (Based on CTR). Their conclusion is in line with a report from Canalys over the third quarter of 2009.

Microsoft to build Windows Mobile 6.5.3

Again, Microsoft will be extending the life of Windows Mobile 6.5 with the release of version 6.5.3. The biggest change with the new version is the interface which will already come one step closer to Windows Phone 7.

Microsoft Increases Windows Marketplace Reach

As promised, Microsoft has opened up Windows Marketplace to older devices. As of today, consumers with Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 are allowed to start shopping to games and apps.

Windows Marketplace for Computers

Microsoft has launched a web interface for their Windows Phone Marketplace. Though consumers will browse and pay via their browsers, games will not be sideloaded but still installed over the air.

Chainfire Hacks new Windows Marketplace Security

Dutch developer Chainfire has announced that he managed to crack the new security on the Windows Marketplace. Microsoft sotres the license on the local device and with a simple exe running in the background, he is able to spoof it.

Flurry: Droid Does Deliver

Zune Goes Mobile (Someday)

Gameloft Jumps on Windows Marketplace Too
