Palm Pre Triggers 1 Million Downloads

During Palms latest earnings call, freshly appointed CEO Jon Rubinstein announced that Palm Pre owners generated 1 million downloads from their App Store, even though the portfolio is not beefed up yet.

Sprint Nextel has announced to launch the highly anticipated Palm Pre next week on June 6th. Sprint will offer the Pre toward consumers on a two-year contract basis.

Over at the Web 2.0 Expo, Palm has announced that their developer program for the Palm Pre SDK is now open. As of today, developers can now start developing mobile games for the WebOS platform.

Over at BoyGeniusReport, the guys managed to get a first look at the WebOS SDK from Palm. The first looks clearly show that the OS is built mainly for XHTML, CSS and Javascript.
