Orange Supports MeeGo

MeeGo, the OS formerly known as MaeMo from Nokia (now Intel/Nokia) has gained support from Frensh operator Orange. The operator confirmed it will be developing services and content for the platform.

Intel and Nokia Release a new OS Called MeeGo

MeeGo is a mix of Nokia’s new Maemo platform with Intel’s Moblin. This Linux based OS will be installed on devices from both vendors like Phones, Netbooks, Connected TV’s, In-Car systems and much more.

Nokia Announces ‘1’ Maemo Phone for 2010

Though Nokia announced Maemo as replacement OS for its high end handsets (and so, replacing Symbian), the company has revealed toward Reuters that it will release only one Maemo phone in 2010.

Rumours: Nokia to Ditch Symbian?

According to the German Financial Times, the love between Nokia and Symbian might be over soon. The vendor would switch to their other open source OS called Maemo.
