The Daily Launches with Paid Subscriptions on iTunes

Rupert Murdoch has finally launched the much rumored iPad magazine The Daily. Apple will charge 14 cents a day and will launch a new edition every day at noon (EST). The launch is limited to the US however.

Playboy’s Uncensored iPad App Isn’t an App

App Store Passed 10.000.000.000 Downloads

Last Saturday, Apple’s App Store passed ten billion downloads. The App Store currently holds over 300.000 apps and was launched in July 2008 following the release of the first iPhone.

Nudity has been a very controversial issue for Apple as last year, the company banned most adult oriented apps from the app store except for the major brands. The major brands did have to sensor their content though.

iOS Products Important to Apple

In the past quarter, Apple sold 11% more products compared to the previous quarter. Though most product groups showed an increase in sales, desktop sales actually decreased.

iPhone 4 CDMA Launches on Verizon, iPad to Follow

Starting next month, Verizon consumers can finally purchase the iPhone 4. February 10th will be the official launchdate for the CDMA version of the device. The device doesn’t support LTE however.
