Android Market Reaches 10K Apps

A small success for Google this week. Their Android Market has crossed the 10.000 apps bar. Sure it's not as much as the iPhone does, but it still means less competition as well.

Hardkernel Develops Android Console

1% Rejection rate at Android Market

Google opened up on the Android Market approval process. From the 6000 applications that have been submitted, the company has only removed 60 of them because they where not suited for the public.

Archos Announces Android App Store

Archos will be launching it's new internet tablet later this month. The device will be android powered and surprisingly enough hold it's own App Store called AppLib. It seems the Android Market will not be available on the device at all.

Acer Plans App Store

Motally Launches Analytics for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android

HTC Working on Cheaper Smartphones

HTC is rumoured to be signing up new component suppliers in order to bring down the costs of developing smartphones. By introducing cheaper hardware, HTC might boost the Android uptake.
