Google Kills Installed Malware on Android

Opera Launches Opera Mobile Store

Opera has launched it’s own browser based app store called Opera Mobile Store. The app store is active in over 200 countries and supports platforms like Android, BlackBerry, Palm and Symbian.

RIM to Expand Ping Onto iPhone and Android!?

If rumors are right, BlackBerry is developing special versions of BlackBerry Messenger for both the iPhone as well as for Android. Both new versions would be paid apps though usage after purchase is free.

Lookout: Android Market Grew 127%

US research bureau Lookout has calculated that Android Market grew 127% over the past six months. Apple’s growth in percentage is significantly lower with ‘just’ 44%.

OpenFeint Goes Pre-loaded on AT&T

OpenFeint has made an important deal with AT&T in which AT&T’s Android devices will be pre-loaded with an OpenFeint games channel. This deal is likely to boost the OpenFeint userbase.

MWC: Unity’s Union to Distribute for Xperia Play

Unity has announced that it will be bringing games to SonyEricsson’s new Xperia Play through it’s Union games distribution unit. Unity’s 3D engine was already used for many of the new Playstation Suite games.
