Paramount Picture’s "Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events" bowed in movie theaters across America today. IGN Wireless had the chance to play JAMDAT’s cellphone game based on the film a couple weeks ago and enjoyed its clever puzzle-solving gameplay, as well as its considerable respect for the source material. THQ Wireless, developer of applications and games for mobile phones, clinched a deal Monday to create and sell wireless products based on the "Star Wars" epic.

The multiyear agreement with "Star Wars" producer Lucasfilm will also cover the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith." THQ Wireless will produce mobile games, ring tones, video clips, screen savers and wallpaper based on characters, images and tracks in the films. More …

Mobile entertainment operator, Million-2-1 is extending its portfolio of games by offering a suite of fixed odds, java-based gambling games for mobile phones.

The games are based on familiar favourites. First to market are Dice and a Hi-Lo card game which download in ‘Play for Fun’ and ‘Play for Real’ formats. They will be followed by Horse Racing and Lucky Balls later in November. More …
