GDC: Most Innovative Mobile Game Award

TelcoGames reached yet another victory with their SIL mobile game. After winning several awards before, this time they scooped up the Most Innovative Mobile Game Award at GDC. Glu has announced to have scooped up yet another award for their mobile game called Stranded. This time, the game was awarded as the Most Innovative Mobile Game at the Gameshadow Innovation Awards 2006. Congratulations Glu!

Motorola and I-Play Offer Developer Challenge

Motorola and I-Play have announced their plans for setting up a mobile games development challenge. There will be two technological categories in which contestants will battle for glory and a publishing deal with I-Play, a briefcase of Motorola handsets (I hope without packaging) and a set of I-Play games. The first category is best J2me game for the KRZR K1 and the sec0ond is the best windows mobile game for Motorola’s Q series of devices. Submissions to the contest are open until August 10th. The judges will be from both Motorola and I-Play as well as external partners.
