Grey Area Secures €1.9m in Funding

Late last month, location based gaming studio Grey Area closed a series A funding round securing €1.9 million. The funding in this round came from Index Ventures, London Venture Partners and Initial Capital.

GetJar Secures $25 Million Investment

In a third round of financing, Get Jar has secured $25 million in capital. Though the company is running open app stores for multiple OS environments, the money will mainly be used for a push into Android.

Activision to Acquire Take Two Interactive!?

THQ Sells THQ Wireless

THQ has made a rather remarkable transaction by selling off THQ Wireless to 24MAS as THQ also noted that it will remain publishing mobile games on the more successful platforms.

HTC Invests $40 Million in OnLive

HTC has bought 5.33 million shares prized $7,50 in OnLive, the cloud based gaming service. It is likely HTC made the investment to increase the quality of games that can be played on it’s handsets.

Motricity to Acquire Adenyo

It seems Motricity is increasing its grip on the mobile advertising market as the firm acquires ad specialist Adenyo for a massive $100 million in cash and shares as well as a $50 million earn-out.
