Glu Shares Going South

It has been some time since Glu (GLUU) went on Nasdaq and surprised us with the money they collected. The first trading day, the value of the shares increased even more. Today however, we noticed a steady decrease in share value for Glu.

Capcom is a Fast Mover

Capcom interactive has done an excellent job last year to
enter the mobile games market. GameZone reports that the company has secured
the 9th place in Q4 of 2006 while they where still stuck at the 62nd spot at
Q1.

Disney Expands Further Trough Acquisitions

Disney Mobile is expanding it’s presence in the market of mobile games
even more. Having acquired Living Mobile a bit over a year ago, they
established a stable basis of development and distribution in Europe.
In China however we have now seen the second acquisition.

Glu Raised $ 84 Million on IPO

MoCoNews reports mobile games publisher Glu has raised $ 84 million for their IPO, $ 4 million above expectations. Glu offered 7.3 million shares which sold at $ 11.50 each while the forecast was between $ 10 and $ 12. Glu’s market capitalization has reached about $ 327 million. Glu’s common stock will trade on Nasdaq today under the GLUU symbol.
Cellufun Receives $ 3 Million Funding

Ad funded mobile gaming company Cellufun announced to have received $ 3
million in funding from Longworth Venture Partners. The funding will
mainly be used to increase external marketing if the portal and further
increase their development line.

Gameloft’s Net Profit Reaches

French mobile games Publisher Gameloft has released their Financial figures for 2006. Gameloft has shown strong growth in the market. Overall sales increased with 46% over 2006 and the growth of downloads stands at 78%. Downloads itself represent 91% of the annual sales. The operating margin was at 11.4% in the second half of 2006 which was -5.9% in the first half..

Glu Aiming to Raise $80 Million on IPO

According to Market Watch, Glu has offered 7.3 million shares at 10 to 12 dollars each. With this offering, Glu hopes to create a $ 80 million war chest. Glu will be traded on Nasdaq under the GLUU Symbol.
