Fox Mobile Goes up for Sale

News Corp has decided it will part ways with their FOX Mobile unit. FOX Mobile originated from a marriage between Jamster/Jamba and FOX Mobile, both owned by News Corp at that time.

Financials: Glu’s Q2, $3.9 Million Down Year-on-Year

Glu has closed their second quarter with $16 Million in revenues. That is $3.9 million down year-on-year as the company is changing from the traditional J2me business to a smartphone-only model.

EA has reported a total profit of $96 Million over the first quarter of their fiscal year 2011. That is an increase in revenues of $330 million year-on-year.

Disney Acquires Playdom

Disney has just bought its second gaming studio in just under a month. This time, the entertainment company snaps up Playdom, a studio specialized in social and mobile gaming for a massive $763.2 million.
