Mumbai based Mauj Mobile has announced the acquisition of the UK based content provider Mobango. Through the acquisition, Mauj hopes to strengthen its position outside India.

Ngmoco Receives Google Funding

iFund backed iOS developer ngmoco has signed up a new investor; Google Ventures. The amount that Google is investing in the company is unknown as well as the terms under which they received the funding. Android could have to do with it though.

Microsoft Setting up Mobile Game Development Studio

Financials: Gamevil’s Q2 2010 – Profits Up 29%

Gamevil has reported a rise of sales of 25% year-on-year for the second quarter, resulting in 6.72 billion Won in revenues. 3.4 billion won was registered as net profit, up 29% year-on-year.

Financials: THQ’s Q2 2010 – Mobile Revenues Down

Over the first quarter of their 2011 fiscal year (Q2 2010 for us), THQ Wireless made $1.6 million in revenues. Down $2.6 million year-on-year. The wireless division accounts for just 1.1% of THQ’s global revenues.

DeNa has released their quarterly financials and they seem to be looking good for the giant as it prepares to take over the number one position in Social Gaming from competitor Zynga. Both also develop and publish mobile titles.
