GDC: Glu Signs 5 New Activision Licenses

Glu Mobile announced to bring five new Activision titles to the mobile gaming platform. The upcoming titles will be published worldwide for carriers and application stores that support Android, Blackberry, BREW, J2ME and Windows Mobile.

Gameloft Licenses Terminator Salvation

Hollywood is masively recycling evergreen licenses. As a direct result, we will be able to enjoy yet another Terminator movie by the end of May. Mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft managed to get hold of the brand from Halcyon.

Artificial Life Licenses Borussia Dortmund

Artificial Life signed a licensing agreement with Borussia Dortmund, the German soccer club. Through this licensing deal, the company will be able to release a new mobile game based on the brand.

Midway Selling Main Licenses

EA Licenses G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra

Mobivention Licenses Hello Kitty

Mobivention has signed a distribution agreement with Sanrio Digital for the Hello Kitty brand. The agreement provides mobivention with the distribution rights for the content throughout 7 European countries.

Connect2Media Licenses “The Dog”

Connect2Media has reached an agreement in principle with 4Kids Entertainment International and Artlist, Inc. to license the worldwide (ex. Asia) rights to “Artlist Collection: The Dog” for mobile games and content.

Duck Hunt Removed from App Store

It doesn't happen often that mobile games are pulled from the app store because of intellectual property claims. Yet, Nintendo has taken action to get a Duck Hunt clone removed from the App Store.
