Google to Kick Out Porn

Dr-digs Earlier this week, we received an e-mail from 'Dr. Digs' about his latest adult mobile game that targets the iPhone demographic. Just like various casino's, he uses the Safari browser to avoid being turned down by Apple.

Canadian Operator Telus Kills Adult Content

After numerous complaints by it’s customers, Canadian operator Telus has pulled the plug out of their adult content platform. The platform was launched a few months ago with heavy protection measures to avoid minors from viewing the content. It was not even until the media started blowing up the story, that consumers started complaining about the services.

Improved Restrictions for Mobile Adult Games and Content

A group of 23 operators have agreed to improve safety for kids along their networks. Besides shielding kids from all forms of possible abuse by other clients, operators will also shield children from adult themes content like adult mobile games. Amongst the group are Vodafone, Orange and TIM. We have seen a similar move where adult games got tugged away behind a pin code that clients need to request. Personally, I always think it should be not more difficult then using information an operator already has. Here in Holland for example, only an adult can buy a subscription. Also, most pre-paid mobile phones are personally registered, which means age of the owner is known. It all sounds so easy… and how to avoid viral distribution of such content via BlueTooth?

Twistbox signs up new board members

Twistbox, the mobile games and content firm has installed new board members. It opened up a new office in London in which ex-Warner Bros Justin Richardson will head up EU sales and marketing. Also, Twistbox hired ex-GM Entertainment Henrik Salzman to handle Scandinavia from the Stockholm office.

Juniper announced sales of mobile adult services, under which games, will be worth $ 3.3 billion by 2011. This year, the market was valued at $ 1.4 billion. The primary market will the EU, closely followed by the Asian-Pacific.
