Burstly has announced support for the iPad. With Burstly, developers can sell their ad inventory on an open marketplace where advertisers can purchase it. Burstly takes 10% in exchange.

Greystripe is bringing Flash advertising to the iPad with theit iFlash ad units. Greystripe supported this technology on iPhone already meaning the innovation is mostly in the bigger sizes.

Though Volkswagen’s last iPhone game was in collaboration with FireMint for a special Golf edition of their Real Racing game, the company returned to Fishlabs for their Think Blue. Challenge.

In December, Mobclix held a developer challenge in which developers were asked to integrate and show ads from both Mobclix and AdMob on a 50/50 basis. If AdMob won, developers would be awarded $10K in advertising.

Over the past years, in-game advertising has been a second revenuestream for developers in which they didn’t have to give a cut to Apple since they didn’t have any control over those ads. That might change now.

Barclaycard’s Waterslide Extreme was already known as a very successful advertgame from Fishlabs. Now, the company revealed that this game attracted 10 million downloads since its release on July 16th 2009.
