Capcom has decided to reorganize its company structure in order to improve it’s services and decrease the costs. The reorganization means that North America and Europe will be joined.
Capcom’s European and North American mobile operations will begin using the consumer facing brand “Capcom Mobile” effective immediately. The new brand is designed to clearly explain to consumers and partners the business unit’s offerings, and to minimize any miscommunication in the marketplace.
Leading the cross-territory management team, Midori Yuasa, President of Capcom Interactive, Inc. said “Moving forward we will be working towards one strategy of producing great games with strong brands to technically high standards across both Europe and North America. By combining forces we can execute a balanced portfolio of titles on a global level, whilst maintaining a focus on providing products tailored to individual territories”.
Under the new management structure, Matt Gillis (Executive Vice President of Publishing) will lead commercial activities, with Manabu Seko (Head of Studios) leading Capcom’s R&D functions in London, Toronto and Los Angeles.
