Last night, French developer and publisher BulkyPix managed to take home two awards at the Dutch Game Awards in Amersfoort (NL). Goodbye Galaxy Games also took home a mobile/handheld awards.
Goodbye Galaxy Games was awarded for their Flipper game. The original concept moved the jury. The game is stuffed with different types of gameplay that have been well executed. The game shows developers don’t need a huge pile of money or huge team to have success.
BulkyPix managed to take home the Best Euro Indie Award and the Best Euro Mobile Award. For the Best Euro Mobile Award, the three titles from BulkyPix were the only contenders in the match. BulkyPix didn’t come over to accept the awards, but they did send in a couple of thank you video’s and showed off their new iPad version of Pix’n Love Rush.
There are just two things that are hard to believe…
One: How come they get three nominations? There’s much more good stuff in Europe.
Two: Are they still consodered Indie? It’s a Vivendi spinoff!
@Patch, not much for a good start indeed 🙁
