Mobclix has calculated that books are now outnumbering games on the app store. Not strange considering the fact that Books will be an important category for future iPad owners.
The difference is not huge, just 1% over the past year, but our feeling says books will grow faster as the development time of a ‘book app’ is a lot shorter since it is mostly a matter of fitting a reading engine with a new e-book file. If we check the book category over the past 5 days, we see the difference increase to 3.9%.
