Apple seems to be pretty busy updating its App Store. Tech Crunch
reports that the company has finally started working on a BETA
development scheme.

The new BETA App Store is pretty much the one that is online now. The big difference is that developers can specify up to 100 iPhone serials that receive early and free access to a specific mobile game from the developer.

With this new feature, Apple hopes to improve the quality of the final builds that are being purchased by it’s consumers. Many of the apps and games in the App Store today have received many updates since their launch just weeks ago.

One Response to “Beta Testing on iPhone”

    1. Angelina says:

Apple has given iPhone Software 2.2 to beta testers, according to one report which claims the updated software restores the capability to push email to the device in the background.
Macworld UK says the update also introduces better GPS-functionality, enabling more accurate reporting of speed or position while in a moving vehicle, for example.Apple’s 2.1 software release entered testing in July. It contained a host of bug fixes and enhancements and drastically reduced the number of user complaints surrounding the device.A few new things we are seeing in this version of the software is the addition of a bunch of Core Location features that track the direction you are heading, and the speed you are traveling. Looks like we might see a turn-by-turn GPS app after all on the iPhone 3G.
