January 30th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

One of Japans largest mobile content firms called BBMF has received fresh funding to upgrade and prepare their content for 3G and 4G networks. BBMF is known for its mobile comics, games and other content and will receive the funding from CDC Mobile reports Wireless Week. Together with funding BBMF, CDC will gain first rights to sell BBMF content in China.

“Through this investment, we are looking to participate in this rapidly growing market in Japan and prepare our company to capitalize on the anticipated 3G market in China as it develops in 2008,” said Fred Wang, Chairman of CDC Mobile. “Our 3G Content Provider program allows us to take advantage on similar opportunities with other 3G companies, furthering our ability to seize the 3G first-mover advantage in the largest and fastest growing mobile market in the world.”
