Bango has announced that its analytics service is in-line with the new Terms of Service from Apple. Reason for this is Bango’s ‘unique’ tracking system. This while it is still not clear what ‘Device Data’ means.
The clause in the new TOS states that developers are not allowed to share device data with any third party. By working with a server side unique identifier, the company gathers the data anonymously, which should bring its services in line with the TOS.
“Developers are currently paralyzed by the new Apple rules and don’t know how to proceed,” said Ray Anderson, CEO of Bango. “Bango’s unique approach using server based Identifier technology gives them a way to retain the detailed measurements they need for success, while remaining compliant with Apples constantly changing rules”
