Bandai and Playphone Launch Tamaphone in the US

Bandai and Playphone announced to Mobile Entertainment Magazine about
the launch of their Tamagotchi styled mobile phone and content portal.
The phone is a re-skinned Motorola V190 and is offered as a Cingular
pre-paid package.

The phone will come preloaded with Tamagotchi and other Bandai related mobile games and content. Consumers can use the dedicated tamaphone.com portal to get new content. Bandai expects to launch more products like these in the next 12 months and expects to sell 100.000 units.
